This week's art is a lego sculpture. Janie and I were watching House Hunters the other day, and they showed a childless couple in their new house, and the husband was building with legos, which, I assume, was a hobby. We both agreed that that was kind of wierd since the guy didn't have children, but I did admit that building things with legos is kind of fun, even though I hardly ever do it with the kids. Janie then said, "Well, then go build me an Empire State Building". So I did. Although, I built my own version of a skyscraper. I call it the Empire Steve Building......
The first drawing is the second in a series. It may end up just being a series of two drawings, but it's a series non-the-less.
The second is this week's real art work.
Ok, I'm not really sure what I think about this week's drawing. I know what Janie thinks about it, but who asked her anyway*. The end result is pretty much what I envisioned in my head earlier today. I wanted a drawing that was part really good, and part almost child like. Who knows, if I ever become a famous artist one day, maybe this drawing will be the start of what future art historians refer to as my "Mediocre Period".

I stopped at AC Moore yesterday to pick up some new art supplies. Seriously, for an artist, that place is like a toy store. I picked up some watercoloUr paint, drawing pencils, good coloUr pencils, a little sketch book so I don't have to use my spiral notebook, paintbrushes, watercoloUr paper, and a super fine-point artist pen so I can finish Fish's drawing. So watch out everybody, Art Show Thursday is about to get ridiculous.....
Ok, here's the drawing I promised. It's a drawing of Fish, Sexy Corn Muffin, and Lemon. Some of you will get the drawing right away. For those of you who don't, read this entry from Fish.
The first one is the doodle I did in my notebook. The second one is the 8x10 pencil drawing I did, and the last picture is after I used color pencils to give it some color. I still need to go back over it and fill in some detail with ink, because I'm not happy with it as it is.
